1RM Snatch
Find your max snatch. 4 attempts, 90 seconds each.
- Loads / benchmark
- 1,000 points = 153 kg men / 105 kg women
- Coach's note
- Plan your warm-up in advance. Open with a weight you'd make under stress. One clean lift beats two misses.
Everything you need to know about XENOM before you sign up: what each of the ten events looks like, the loads and caps, how EPI scoring works and how to prepare.
Unlike the CrossFit Open or typical throwdowns, the events don't change. You know exactly what's coming, so you can train for it on purpose, and improve your EPI from one event to the next.
Data is for the RX division per published 2026 season standards (men/women). Entry and Elite divisions use different loads and gymnastics variations.
Find your max snatch. 4 attempts, 90 seconds each.
Ascending-ladder AMRAP: 2 wall walks + 1 rope climb, then 4 + 2, 6 + 3 and so on.
Max calories on the Echo Bike in 60 seconds.
AMRAP with one barbell: 12 deadlifts, 9 front squats, 6 shoulder-to-overhead, 3 thrusters.
2 km Echo Ski straight into a 3 km run. For time.
3 rounds: 15 toes-to-bar + 10 dumbbell hang snatches. Then 10 bar muscle-ups and max ring muscle-ups in the remaining time.
5 max-effort pulls on the Rogue Air Rhino. After the first pull you have 30 seconds for all five.
Clean ladder: 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 reps at rising weights, then max reps at the final weight.
30 burpees, 30/24 cal Echo Ski, 30/24 cal Echo Bike, 30 burpees, 30/24 cal bike, 30/24 cal ski, then max burpees.
AMRAP: 6 handstand push-ups, 8 chest-to-bar pull-ups, 12 dumbbell lunges.
Each event has an elite benchmark worth 1,000 points: 153 kg (men) / 105 kg (women) for the snatch, 68 calories in a minute on the Echo Bike, 17:06 for ski + run, 46 reps on the clean ladder. Conversion follows the track-and-field decathlon principle. It's an absolute score, not a placing, so whoever's in the next lane doesn't change your points.
The sum of all ten events is your EPI. There's no ceiling: beat the benchmark and you get more than 1,000 for that event.
| Tier | EPI points |

Compete as an individual or a same-sex pair. Since London there are also mixed pairs, where a man and a woman share all ten events. Results are ranked by age group too. For 2027 XENOM lists four divisions, from beginner to Elite, so check the current split on xenom.global.

Season one is planned at 11 competitions across the US and Europe. There's no season final; every event stands on its own. For a sense of pricing: London individual entry ran from £129 (super early bird) to £199, pairs £250–379. XENOM has announced a 20% discount for athletes from CrossFit affiliate boxes.
| XENOM | HYROX | |
|---|---|---|
| Format | 10 separate events, 2 days | 8 × 1 km run + 8 stations, one race |
| Scoring | points (EPI), like a decathlon | time |
| Skills | weightlifting, gymnastics, muscle-ups, handstands | no technical skills, mainly engine and strength |
| Who for | CrossFit and functional fitness athletes | the broad fitness crowd |
You can do both. HYROX engine helps on XENOM, especially in events 003, 005 and 009. But technique and strength decide it.
From coaching practice, people underestimate two things most: technique under fatigue (muscle-ups and heavy cleans after earlier events) and recovery between days. Day two opens with gymnastics, and if your hands are fried from rope climbs and skiing, you'll feel it.
Good prep runs in phases: first a base of strength and gymnastics skills, then event-specific blocks, then full race-day simulations and a taper. That's exactly how STR2G TEN is built.
XENOM is a two-day fitness competition with ten fixed events. It tests strength, gymnastics, endurance and mixed conditioning. The format is identical everywhere, so results from different cities are comparable.
Each event has an elite benchmark worth 1,000 points. Your result is converted to points and the sum of all ten events is your EPI (Elite Performance Index). Beat the benchmark and you can score over 1,000.
In the 2026 season they were Compete (entry), RX and Elite (invite-only), for individuals and same-sex pairs. For 2027 XENOM lists four divisions, from beginner level to Elite. Always check current standards on xenom.global.
No. In the entry division muscle-ups are replaced with pull-ups and chest-to-bar. You can finish the whole competition without them.
HYROX is fitness racing: 8 × 1 km runs and 8 stations, for time. XENOM is closer to CrossFit: ten separate events including weightlifting and gymnastics, scored like a track-and-field decathlon.
In the 2026/27 season the closest European stops are Málaga (January 2027) and Paris (date TBC).
You need structure: strength (snatch, clean), gymnastics (rope climbs, T2B, HSPU), engine (bike, ski, run) and the head for two days of competition. That's what STR2G TEN is built for.
No. This is an independent STR2G project. Official info, registration and rules are on xenom.global.
